Well. Interesting meeting.

We still don’t know for sure who our coach/s are. And blah everyone is unhappy and our assistant coach who lead the meeting is just so, not what we’re use to/not what our team needs and just ugh. I just want next year to be good and blah that’s not going to happen if nobody is happy and if our coach is disorganized and sigh.

And our summer training is really freaking weird. The past two/three/plus years we’ve had like a calender of the whole summer made up with different workouts basically everyday, getting harder, two-a-days in july, speed work, tempo runs, etc etc. The typical summer workout stuff. But this year… it’s just this like “base” training plan or whatever. It’s split into 3 parts - weeks 1-4, weeks 5-7 and weeks 8-9. Basically we’ll be doing the same workouts every week for like those four weeks. So monday is always 30 minutes easy, tuesday is mile repeats, etc. And that’s it. It adds up to like 30ish miles a week for the whole summer. It just seems really like.. unsatisfying ya know? I don’t know. But my coach(?) like got it from the coach of the team who’s been state champs for the past 4+ years soooo.. it must really be good haha. My coach basically said that it like prepares us for the first few weeks of practice, in which we’ll have like 8+ hill workouts…. soooo. Yeah. I guess it makes sense though so we don’t peak too early and whatnot but still. I’ll try to follow it for the most part but I may up the mileage a little or change some of it up. We’ll seee.

But yeah. The schedule doesn’t start until June 14th… awks. But I’ll be running just easy like 3-5 milers until then because wow I just can’t take not running any longer. This is deffinitly not what I was expecting, but it should work out nonetheless.

XC meeting tomorrow!

FINALLY. It was suppose to be last week and then it was suppose to be today but now it’s actually happening tomorrow. We’re getting our summer workout schedules and seeing what the deal is with our coach and stuff. I really have no clue what to expect because I’m pretty sure nobody knows what’s going on with this stuff but it’ll be good to finally be with the xc kids again :)

Also, I AM SO EXCITED TO RUN AGAIN. June 1st aka Friday is our first day of summer training and ohh my gosh. After like over 2 weeks without running, I am wayyyy ready to get back into it. kjdshgksjhgkhskgj I can’t waitttttttttt
